Trade Shows Overview

MIHAS 2011 will be kicking off its eighth showcase from April 6 to 9 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Aiming to reach out to the global halal players worldwide, MIHAS 2011 is back with a new theme entitled, “Expanding your business horizon”.

MIHAS which is in its 8th year is an international trade fair with the largest congregation of halal industry players. MIHAS has triumphed in enhancing networks between Malaysia and foreign countries and the most lucrative element of MIHAS is that it helps traders to create and expand business opportunities to a wider horizon.

As a global trade fair that main focus is on halal, MIHAS attracts a following of steadfast exhibitors and visitors. It embraces the halal concept in all its scope ranging from food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, toiletries, herbal products, cosmetics, packaging, banking and insurance.

The success of MIHAS in the previous years has been proven through the participation of foreign countries occupying more than 600 booths annually. Countries such as China, Iran and Indonesia have been the top three exhibiting countries since MIHAS was first showcased in 2004. MIHAS 2010 proudly welcomed the first time exhibitors from France, Italy and Albania in the global trade fair and more new comers are expected to participate in MIHAS 2011.

In conjunction with MIHAS 2011, MATRADE will also be arranging an Incoming Buying Mission (IBM) scheduled from April 4 to 5. This programme is an integral component of MIHAS, which acts as a platform for Malaysian exporters to meet with international buyers. Conducted through a one-on-one business meeting, IBM has established itself as an effective avenue for Malaysian companies to promote their products, and for foreign companies to source products and services from Malaysia.
